Happiest of Holidays from Templeton Run Club!

Updated: Dec 4, 2020

If I had to go back and put in a special request for the weather we had on the morning of Park to Pier, I don't think I could have asked for anything more perfect! Santa Rita Road was magical!!

I am still so impressed by the runners that came out that day and by the incredible support our friends and family showed us.

Our second annual Turkey Trot wasn't much different!! (Other than I may have requested it to be a litttttlllleee bit warmer!!) We had a terrific turn out...met some new runners...and enjoyed some delicious TRC anniversary "recovery" cupcakes in the park afterwards.

Now it's Ugly Christmas sweater season and we’re kicking it off with a 5k fun run/walk on Thursday, December 10th!!! Meet us at the Paso Market Walk in Paso Robles at 6pm for a cruise down Spring St. and then over to Vine to enjoy a running tour of the annual

Victorian Showcase Christmas light displays. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 best Ugly Christmas Sweaters!!

In addition to our normal Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday runs, we’ll have the TRC Friday Night Live Reindeer run at 8am on Christmas Eve morning! You can join us at Templeton Park (by the fire station) for a 5k run (or walk if you prefer) through Templeton. Sign up at slofnl.com/reindeer run and help support our counties FNL middle school and high school organizations. These groups work hard to raise awareness of substance abuse, promote wellness, and encourage healthy lifestyles within our community. For the $20 registration, you will receive a Reindeer Run t-shirt, running bib, antlers and festive socks!! Sign up early so you can wear them to the run!! Online registration will close December 25th at 9pm. (Can’t make it on the 24th?? It's technically a virtual run and you have the option of running anytime between December 1st and the 25th!!)

As we are currently sitting on the brink of another Stay at Home order, please remember to bring a mask or buff to these runs and help us maintain social distancing. So far outdoor recreational activities, like running, are still allowed and will continue to be even if we go into yet another lock down. Thankfully our groups are small but please continue to RSVP on Strava or Meetup. You can check these or the website for the most current information on routes, mileage options, meeting locations and times. Please feel free to shoot me an email for any special run requests!!

Happy Running friends!
